Hello everyone! šŸ™‚

After being here for over two weeks, I thought it would be a good time to share what my day to day looks like.

Some logistics first!!!

I am on base in Georgia for 2 1/2 more weeks. We will be in Louisiana helping Samaritan’s Purse with disaster relief from Oct. 16th – Oct. 30.

My squad is split into smaller teams. I have 5 amazing girls on my team (not including me) plus our amazing leader Anna. There are 7 of us in total!

Day to Day!

Breakfast is at 8!

  • I have been waking up earlier to get some things done and spend time with Jesus. The mornings are so peaceful. Breakfast is always amazing.

Devotional time from 9-10

  • This is my favorite time of the day. I love Jesus. This has been such a sweet time of learning, growing, and encountering Him. I typically just sit outside on the dining deck or sit inside at our indoor meeting point. I use this time to read my Bible, journal, pray, and listen to the Lord.

Session 1 from 10-12

  • We have different speakers come in and share Biblical lessons/messages they have learned. Many are alumni racers. I have learned so much.

Cleaning from 12:30

  • Every team has a different cleaning duty every day. This just helps us keep the campus clean.

Lunch is at 12:30!

Free time follows from end of lunch to 3

  • This looks different everyday. Sometimes I lift and shower…sometimes I take a nap. Typically I spend the time processing and hanging out with friends šŸ™‚

Squad time from 3-4

  • The squad time consists of something different every day of the week. Move ya body Monday. Fundraising Tuesday and Thursday (I am on the committee that helps lead fundraising!). Story time Wednesday. Fun Friday.

Session 2 from 4-5

  • We are currently going through a series about truth.

Dinner is at 5!

Team Time from 6-7

  • This time also looks different depending on the day of the week. We do Bible studies, feedback, gratitude, and debrief. It is a good time to learn about my team in a more intimate setting.

Typically free time after 7; exceptions, Women’s Night on Monday, Worship on Wednesday, and Movies on Friday!

Saturday and Sundays are Sabbath days šŸ™‚

  • We have squad church on Sunday and meals, but other than that we have the day to rest and seek Jesus outside of a scheduled day. I am 100% going to bring a habit of having a Sabbath when I get home. It is so important. Fight for time with Him.

There you have it, a day of life through my eyes.

I love you all! God bless,

Abigail Criqui
