Hello!

Do you want to really follow my journey??

IF YES...I had a funnish idea. I want to sporadically write "Life Through My Eyes" blog posts that give you an idea of what my day-to-day looks like. I am going to try it out and just see how it goes.

A few weeks ago I went to Boot Camp

- 5 days

- 3 full days at the base in Georgia

My Squad (H squad) is made up of 39 amazing people. Very soon we will be split into smaller groups...super eager to know who I will be with! I love all them. Their hearts for Jesus are so beautiful.

At Boot Camp my squad had our own camp grounds (there were two other squads at Boot Camp with us). We were tucked back in a little clearing in the trees...I loved it. I set my tent up with the help of some friends, blew up my sleeping pad, pulled out my sleeping bag, hooked my lantern at the top of my tent, piled my big pack and book bag in the corner, and was all settled in....well the most settled you can be in a little tent.

We used porta potties...not terrible.

We took bucket showers...also not terrible. Showers use to be relaxing for me, but I must say that dumping cold water on my head isn't too relaxing. Again...not terrible, and I am not complaining by any means. The cold water on a hot Georgia day is quite refreshing, but also a little breathtaking ;)

We had cultural meals. Everything was very different...of course. I thought all of the meals were good; however, I did not have an appetite at all. I blame this on being homesick, and I think part of it could have been spiritual warfare. About two bites into every meal I felt full and nauseous. :( SO please pray that when I go back I am able eat!

6:20 wake up

breakfast!

devo time

worship (which was AMAZING)

team lessons

lunch

team building activity

debrief...which was super healthy and taught me a lot. I will now be debriefing a lot in my life ;)

3-5- free time which was typically filled with playing some sort of game with the squad. Dinner

evening session - Worship and Message

Sleep!

That's all I have for now! This will be similar to what the first month of my life on The World Race will look like!

Love you all and God Bless!

-Abigail
