When I was 15, I went on a two-week mission trip to Guatemala through Adventures in Missions. While I was in Guatemala, I learned about the World Race. I thought it sounded amazing, and I felt as though God was hinting that He would call me to go. After that trip, I had a hard time picturing myself in a career that wasn’t in ministry and missions. I looked into a couple of different Christian Colleges, but God never confirmed them. On September 1, I was praying, and I heard God clearing say, “The World Race. 9 months. 3rd option.” I pulled up the trips online, clicked the world race, 9 months, and choose the 3rd route (out of four). The Activation Route.

I laughed to myself and thought about just how fitting it was. As I read through the description of the trip, a fire rose in my chest. At that moment, I knew I’d be going on this journey.

I believe 100% that God has the perfect plan for my life, and if I surrender to Him daily, I will see the fulfillment of those plans. These 9 months are going to catapult me into my destiny. The lessons I will learn and the authority I will gain will be incredible. When I return home, I know that God will have done a deep work in me, and I will be equipped to do whatever it is He has planned next.

I am so excited to share my journey and training with you. You are a part of this. Let’s further His Kingdom together.

  1. Ran across this scripture when preparing for my Sunday School Class this weekend and thought it might be meaningful to you: 1 Timothy 4:12 Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.

    You will do great. Gary

  2. Thank you for sharing! I love that verse. I am so grateful for your support and encouragement.
